Civilization 6 Game Tips & Strategy Guide

I last played the 4X game Sid Meier’s Civilization way back in 1996, so I’m learning along with everyone else as I re-explore the 4X genre of computer strategy games (no pun intended on the EXplore part).

First tip I have: Create your game with the Continents mode (part of the whole fun of 4X games is the EXplore part, and you aren’t truly EXploring if you already know the layout, at least roughly, of the world you’re in).

There’s a Civilization 6 Tutorial section within the game, and it’s a good idea to check out the Bill’s List summary of the Civ 6 Tutorial along with Strategy & other Tips (Page 1, Page 2), and even better idea to download the game’s online PDF manual straight from 2K Games (copy and paste the link text below in “Sources” into your browser).

Also, note that, while Civilization 6 has been out for years and years as of this writing, the PC version you can indeed run on Windows 10. I myself downloaded Civilization 6 from Steam due to the fact that my new computer is so advanced it doesn’t have a disk drive (I could’ve gotten Civ 6 on disk from Amazon within 24 hours for less than half the price).
