Below is one of the books I’ve read over the years which I’d like to share with my website’s visitors and which you can buy on Amazon by clicking on the book’s cover below.

The book Primary Colors: A Novel of Politics by Anonymous (Joe Klein) is an interesting roman à clef, ostensibly fiction but patently based on the first Bill Clinton Presidential campaign.

Klein (who also worked at Newsweek, but before me) originally tried to remain Anonymous due to the nature of the novel and his “day job” (among other things, the character based on Clinton later to be portrayed by John Travolta in the movie adaptation impregnates a 16-year-old girl), was sniffed out thanks to style analysis, and the following scandal was one of the reasons Newsweek Editor Maynard Parker never became Editor-in-Chief (Parker had known Anonymous’s identity all along and had helped keep it secret).
