One of my favorite things about Boulder, Colorado is CU’s Conference on World Affairs every April!
The CWA is an annual event that brings together “thought leaders” from around the world to diversify the CU student experience and share with the community a range of perspectives on the pressing issues of the day (two of the nifty things about CWA is that all sessions are free and open to the public, and speakers are required to be from outside Colorado). Eleanor Roosevelt (among others) helped launch the CWA way back in 1948.
CWA Week has over 200 events with 100 speakers and performers (many individual speakers participate in multiple panels throughout the week), and 70,000 people in total attend the panels each year.
I plan to attend this year’s entire week (like I more or less did last year), and I just might post a list of the panels I’ll be attending myself…
