Tips From a Top-Rated Ride Driver

When riders are in the car and you might be looking to fill the silence with a less-than-chatty passenger, it’s best to only play music which would be appropriate for an office environment.

When I’m playing FM stations in the car with riders (and not SiriusXM), I’ve discovered that Austin’s 103.5 Bob FM and San Antonio’s 102.7 Jack FM are good choices (as of this writing, there are 33 Bob FM stations in the United States, and 42 similar Jack FM stations).

You might include an offer in your driver profile to play your rider’s favorite station (they just have to text you and you’ll promise to have their favorite station playing when they open the door), but unless you receive a request otherwise, definitely avoid any news, comedy or non-mainstream radio station.
