I’ll be adding other Colorado Snowshoe Trails next Winter, but here are a few favorites:

Rabbit Ears Pass (Steamboat Springs)

This is an amazing trail starting from a trailhead at the top of Rabbit Ears with the Steamboat area’s trademark boatloads of snow > probably the best snoeshowing I’ve ever experienced.

Rainbow Gulch Trail (Woodland Park)

Accessible by a very bumpy (but otherwise decent) dirt road which probably calls for 4WD in bad conditions (if coming from Colorado Springs, take a right at the McDonald’s in Woodland Park). High traffic trail with snow that gets well-packed by skiers, so be sure to hit this trail as soon as you can after a good snowfall in the Springs area. Some guides might also direct you to the Lovell Gulch Trail on the outskirts of Woodland Park, but that’s only a decent option if your vehicle won’t get up snow-covered or snow-packed mountain roads (if there’s a lot of snow further up the road, there’s probably enough at Lovell Gulch; otherwise it melts too quickly).
