English-Teaching Resources Tutor Bill Hammons Has Found Helpful

Rest assured I’ll be adding many more resources to this and related pages in the future, as well as just general opinions and ideas based on my vast experience teaching on Preply alone (6,060 lessons taught and 124 reviews earned, as of this writing).

In the meantime, feel free to send me an email to say hello, trade notes, and explore how we can perhaps work together!

One important point: Keep the level of the lesson appropriate!

  1. English teaching script Bill has crafted for his trial lessons - Every word I say, plus explainers and background

  2. Meaning and Pronunciation Resources (Dictionaries and Translators) - ChatGPT, DeepL, Merriam-Webster, OED

  3. Preply - The biggest platform in the teaching business for connecting tutors and students (at least for languages)

  4. PDF24Tools - Even with a Google Premium account, data storage can add up. It’s a good idea to regularly compress files

  5. Smallpdf - I also use this (mostly) free site to compress my Conversation Kickstarter PDFs
